Goalden Times is a monthly football magazine which covers football from all over the globe but primarily from the European, African and Indian leagues. It was started in August 2011 and has been published over the web every month since. The magazine is available for free both in blog version as well as in downloadable PDF format.
The idea for the magazine came when discussions in several social media between friends found that there is a lack of a magazine which focuses on as much of the European Football as Asian and African. With writers spread across nationalities and continents.[1] It was felt that a site which would focus on the game globally was the way forward.
The name of the site was one which was much debated upon and it was felt that there should be an intrinsic link to the most cherished event in a football match - The Goal. The site sought to capture such special and cherished moments from the lives of all those who loved the beautiful game. And that is how the GoaldenTimes ball got rolling.[2]
