Sheikh Sahil (born 28 April 2000) is a Indian footballer who plays for Mohun Bagan. He is a graduate of Mohun Bagan Youth Academy and currently playing for the senior team.


Career

Early career

Sahil started his career at Mohun Bagan academy. As a young player he took part various youth tournaments and leagues with Mohun Bagan. He also played in the U-16 I- League as a part of Mohun Bagan youth team. He first came on limelight in youth development league organised by IFA and Zee Bangla, though his team was the runners up in the tournament.[1]

In the tournament, he showed his potentiality and skills and as a result he was signed by the then coach Kibu Vicuna in the senior team on a four year deal.[2] He was a dependable man in 2019-20 season for Mohun Bagan. He won the I-League in the 2019 season for Mohun Bagan.[3]

He was chosen by Kibu Vicuna for the 2019-20 Calcutta Football League.

Durand Cup

He made his Durand cup debut on 2 August 2019 against Mohammedan SC. His team won the match 2-0.[4]

I-League

On November 30, 2019, he made his I-League debut against Aizawl FC as substitute in the 2nd half replacing PM Britto.[5] He made his first team squad entry on the 4th match of his team, against Gokulam Kerala on 16 December. He inspired his team to win as a result 2-1.

Style of play

The 19- years old young boy has potentiality to do more according to football pundits. He highly impressed Kibu Vicuna, the former coach of Mohun Bagan by his playing ability. In his youth academy days, he used to play as defender. But in the senior team he was a to Central Midfielder by team management.[5] With 87% passing accuracy, he has a wide range of ball delivery ability. He always keep calm and nerves during any difficult situation that is a positive attribute of his character.[6]

Ishan Pandita(born 26th May 1998) is a Indian Footballer who plays for ISL Club FC Goa[1]. He plays as a striker. He has a vast experience to play in Spain and he is the first Indian to play for a La Liga club[2].

Early career

Went to Spain in 2014 at the age of 16 and joined Alcobendas Levitt C.F Juvenil. In 2015, he joined the U-18 team of La Liga club UD Almeria[3] but he didn't sign professional contract as he hadn't turned 18 that time[2]. In the year 2016, he joined the U-19 team of CD Leganes [2]. He was the first ever Indian footballer to play for a Juvenil side of a Spain's top division club[2].After a spell at Leganes, he signed a short-term contract with the U-23 team of Gimnastic on 5 January 2019[4].

On August 2019 he signed a one-year deal with Tercera Division Club Lorca FC. He played 23 matches and scored 4 goals in the 2019-20 season for Lorca.[5]

India

Initially he and his family wanted to stay in Spain. But in the current COVID-19 situation it became difficult to find a club for him[6], So In early 2020, rumours spreaded that Pandita can return to India. It was speculated that he might have signed for FC Goa.[7][8].In October 2020, the club has finally revealed that it had secured Pandita in their squad.[1][9] He made his debut for FC Goa on 30 November 2020 against NorthEast United FC at 89th minute of that match as a substitute.[10]



Personal Life

Though he was born in New Delhi but he is of Kashmiri decent as his family hails from Kashmir[11]. In 2001, his family moved to Philippines, he started his studies and learnt basics of football in Philippines till 2009[12]. Then they returned to India in Bengaluru. In 2014 Pandita moved to Spain for better training of his football talent and skills[13]. After spending a term of 6 years in various lower division Spanish Clubs he returned to India and signed for FC Goa[14][15].

Shubho Paul is an Indian footballer who plays for Delhi based I-League club Sudeva Delhi FC and India national u-17 football team. He is from West Bengal and currently a resident of Delhi.[1]

Career

Early career

He played in the AIFF Youth League for Sudeva Academy. In the 2019-20 season he scored 14 goals in 11 games.[2]

Senior career

As a result of his stunning performance for the youth team he called up to the senior team for 2021 season. On 28 February 2021 he scored his maiden goal for senior team at 41 minute against TRAU FC though his team lost to the opponent by 3-2 down.[3][4] He scored a decision making goal on 20 March 2021 to defeat Indian Arrows at 40th minute.[5]

International career

He is a part of Indian u17. He played in the 2021 AFC U-16 Asian Cup Qualifier where he scored 3 goals in 3 matches. He scored a brace against Bahrain on 20 September 2019.[6] He has total of 8 goals in 11 games for the U-17 national side.
