Born 1967 in Seattle WA, currently residing in Portland OR.

I've been on the air as a volunteer dj in college and community radio since 1985 including shows at KUGS FM in Bellingham WA, KAOS FM in Olympia WA, and now KPSU AM/FM in Portland. My radio show since 1993 has been What's This Called? focusing on experimental and eclectic music.

I play experimental music in a group called The Dead Air Fresheners who are celebrating our tenth year of existence. I hope that sharing this music with people doesn't amount to the "promotional articles" considered inappropriate in Wikipedia. To me, nothing could be further from a commercial enterprise.

I am a huge fan of Science Fiction literature, and one of the admins of this message board devoted to the subject.

I am also becoming quite addicted to the online photographic community as evidenced by my Flickr page.
