Founded in 1997, HotWax Systems develops, implements and supports custom digital commerce/eCommerce and ERP (enterprise resource planning) solutions. The company is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, with development offices in Indore, India.

Founded in 1997, HotWax Media has evolved from a small web design company into a provider of Apache Open For Business (OFBiz) services. HotWax Media is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and with a subsidiary company (HotWax Media Pvt. Ltd.) based in Indore, M.P., India.

OFBiz

Apache Open For Business (OFBiz) is a community-driven open source project. Main highlights of OFBiz include:

OFBiz is maintained by an active group of volunteers under the auspices of the Apache Software Foundation.
OFBiz is licensed under the Apache 2.0 open source license, which is both open and pragmatic, facilitating community-driven, meritocratic collaboration while allowing for proprietary derivative applications.

1997 HotWax Media founded in Monterey, California.
2002 HotWax Media relocates to Salt Lake City, Utah
2007 HotWax Media acquires Indian subsidiary, HotWax Media Pvt. Ltd.

HotWax has been operating under the direction of co-founder and chief executive officer Mike Bates since its inception ^[1]. In March 2002, HotWax Media acquired Indian subsidiary, HotWax Media Pvt. Ltd., in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, under the direction of by chief operating officer Anil Patel. In 2015 Gartner named HotWax System one of its Cool Vendors in Digital Commerce.^[2]
