I have been retired since 1999. I am presently performing research on the persons who visited Charles F. Lummis at his home (aka El Alisal) in the Arroyo Seco area of Los Angeles. My sources of information about his visitors have included Lummis' personal housebook and diary, and articles published about him in various newspapers, such as the Los Angeles Times and the old Los Angeles Herald. I have developed an extensive data base and published a book about these visitors. As of now, I am focusing my efforts on identifying the illegible signatures in the housebook.

I am also a volunteer at the Huntington Library in San Marino, California.
