Hello! My name is Devon Bruzzone and I am a sophomore at Bucknell University. I am an environmental studies major and am currently interning at Bucknell's Environmental Center. Additionally, I am a member of the club, Bicycles Against Poverty, and Women's Club Soccer.

I am interested in the work of Olaus Murie, especially his work with elk management. It seems as though the Kaibab deer population explosion is an example of mismanagement of wildlife, whereas Olaus Murie dedicated his life to researching the best methods to ensure healthy elk numbers. In the same manner as the Kaibab Plateau research, I am interested in the relationships and intricacies of particular environments and looking at ways to intervene on the behalf of a species without upsetting the rest of the ecosystem. Although Olaus Murie's already has a Wikipedia page, his specific contributions to conservationism are briefly discussed and could definitely be elaborated on. Clearly, a significant figure in conservationism, it is important to improve his wikipedia page to show how an individual can play such a major role in the health of an ecosystem and to provide a successful example of species management.
