Seton Pottery was a successful pottery manufacturer based in Scorrier, Redruth, Cornwall, UK and was the leading UK producer of specialised ceramic products for the drinks industry. At its peak, Seton Pottery was producing 10,000 pieces of commercial pottery per week, much of which was exported around the world.

Seton Pottery produced the teapot for the famous Teasmade, the infamous tea making alarm clock, but it was for its contribution to the drinks industry that seton pottery will be best remembered. The pottery produced whisky jugs, ashtrays, ice buckets and huge volumes of ceramic containers for whisky and rum. The spirit producers supplied included Johhnie Walker, Ballantines, Long John, Bowmore distillery and Lambs Navy Rum.

Many of the promotional items manufactured by Seton were sold through R.J.Osborne Ltd of West Sussex who were specialist agents for such products. Originally it was R.J.Osborne Ltd who introduced Seton Pottery to many of the world leading brand names. This business connection allowed Seton Pottery access to international markets for the sale of their promotional ceramics. All the products were designed and manufactured to each client's design specifications.

Although the reasons for the decline of Seton Pottery is in dispute, its closure can be directly related to the decline of British manufacturing from the 1980's onwards, increased competition from the Far East, rising energy charges and raw material costs. Seton Pottery closed its doors in 2000 when Pat and Cyril Foster retired. Stephen Foster, the son of Pat and Cyrle Foster, converted the site into the present day Seton Self Storage.
