      David Musial is an entrepreneurial multimedia producer and educator.  David brings over 30 years of a wide variety of experience in the multimedia industry from composition and performance, to engineering and mastering, photography, graphics, web design and video directing; including publishing, promotion and artist management. Musial has worked in a variety of capacities on over 100 records, 10 different animated series, and a variety of radio shows, TV shows and films. David has received awards, scholarships, grants and endorsements, most recently a letter from the First Lady in the White House related to a music video creation for a charity. Musial has produced shows for music he has composed all over America from Disney to the Pentagon. Currently Musial is formulating a live show at the Statue of Liberty for July 2009.
           In September 2003, Musial became the director of the new Music & Technology department at Stevens Institute of Technology. (www.Stevens.edu).  Since then he built a program with minimal resources to 40 majors in less than five years.  This program is now the largest in this division of the university, the “College of Arts and Letters”.  He has guided students to earn scholarships, and has mentored a multitude of individuals. All of his graduates are employed.  David teaches courses in Music Technology including MIDI, Electronic Music, Techno Music, Audio Engineering, including postproduction for Television & Film.  He also has taught basic Music Theory, Jazz History, Synthestration & Composition.  Musial has conducted successful national recruiting events and secured major corporate endorsements for the university from Roland, iGuitar and Digidesign.  He inspired and guided the creation of a student owned and operated corporation, “Stevens Multi-Media, LLC which operates Castle Point™ Records.  It was funded by a $50,000 research grant from the university with amazing supporters. It is now earning income via iTunes and a variety of digital download sites.  The record label received positive press in the NYC area. The artist “Cori Yarckin” was featured in “Rolling Stone” magazine in 2007 and in 2008 one of her songs “Everything You Said”, on our Castle Point™Records album, was used in the soundtrack to MTV’s #1 show “The Hills". In the Spring of 2008, Cori performed live on MTV. 
           In October 2007 David Musial met Michelle Moog-Koussa and suggested the creation of a student division of the Bob Moog Foundation.  He accepted the volunteer position as “Director of Student Membership & Development”.  He secured two research grants in the summer of 2008 and supervised the creation of a YouTube channel for the Moog Foundation which features many video testimonials he invited from a variety of musicians & producers at the Audio Engineering Conventions and at The National Association of Music Merchants show in 2008. Musial is developing an international Electronic Music Composition Expo in honor of Bob Moog.  Currently he is focusing his energy on the possible creation of what may become the finest recording studio in the world for Electronic Music: The Robert A. Moog Center for Electronic Music Composition.
           David was commissioned by the United States Department of Education and Department of Justice to compose two songs & to produce the audio post for five videos for the "Fight For Your Rights, TAKE A STAND against violence" campaign. This is an anti-violence educational project created by the National Center for Conflict Resolution Education. National musical acts like Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, Tori Amos, The Backstreet Boys and more were later invited to join the project & contribute.  The Recording Industry of America funded the production, which yielded a platinum release. (1,000,000 CD's). Musial also did the mastering engineering on this album that earned an Emmy Award and Silver Cindy Award for MTV in 1998.


           David sequenced the "Drew's Famous Party Music CD" in 1994 which is currently approaching 3,000,000 sales (triple platinum status.)  Two other CD's he assisted from this company have enjoyed platinum status: “Drew's Famous Party Music II” & “Drew’s Famous Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long,” which featured a performance of “Frosty The Snowman” produced by Musial. In 2000, David’s version of “Here Comes The Bride,”  published by this company, was used in the motion picture soundtrack “What Planet Are You From?”
           David Musial began his public music career as a professional church organist at the age of 10.  He has performed with bands, orchestras and conducted choirs.  He dedicated 10 years to full time college studies commencing at Erie Community College, in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics & Television Production.  Musial won the "Alumni-of-the-year" award in 1995 and then endorsed the college for it's 50th anniversary with a radio and print/billboard campaign for the year. He studied Electronic Music at the State University of New York at Buffalo and earned the prestigious “Tonemeister” B.A.S.S. degree in Music Technology & Film at SUNY Fredonia.  Musial was awarded a full sponsorship for his first Masters via NYU & The Juilliard School of Music in the field of Orchestration & Sound Design and he was offered a full teaching scholarship for his second Masters in Computer Music Technology at New York University, (a Gallatin Ph. D. program.)  He assisted the director with the creation of the Masters in Music Technology Program. Musial earned the “instructor-of-the-year” award in the Music Technology department four times, presented by the student government. He was selected to be the first master’s class private student for Wendy Carlos in 1991.  Musial is a member of NARAS, (The Grammys), the Audio Engineering Society, The Computer Music Society, BMI as a writer and publisher, Musicians Local 802-NYC, and now the Moog Foundation.
            David formed a multimedia corporation titled "The One World Artists Group,"   (a.k.a. One World Artists, LLC).  His work has been featured in international publications like Business Week, Recording & Keyboard Magazine, in a multitude of newspapers including the Star  Ledger, The Jersey Journal, The Buffalo News & the New York Times, the latter for excellence for integrating music technology into a liturgical setting in 1995.  The first song Musial produced for ABC Television, “We're Making It" became the theme for the "International Year of the Disabled" in 1981 and was a Public Service Announcement soundtrack for 48 states in America, 12 countries and was played for the Pope at the Vatican as a plane full of handicapped people from Western New York made a Papal visit. Since then he has contributed to the release of over 100 album titles with over 12,000,000 albums on the market, his music has been performed live in sports arenas with as many as 16,000 people in attendance. He produced demos for the musical acts “Forever Chozen” and “John Doe” that he got signed to SONY Music in 1998. 
           Musial engineered the sound recording and directed the live television shoot of a Dave Brubeck Jazz show with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and 150 voice choir.  It aired on CBS National Television in 1987.  In 2006 a cartoon “Pen –vs- Pencil” aired on “Nickelodeon”, Musial did the audio soundtrack.  He has directed and edited over 50 music videos, 5 aired on a NYC TV show dozens of times in 2003 & 2004. Musial created the soundtracks to a variety of TV shows including a score for NASA, contributed to music & sound for film including the theme song for the motion picture “Southie” featuring “Donnie Wahlberg” from “New Kids on the Block”.  He scored the music, made the voices and sound effects for 10 cartoon series. In 1994 Musial created sound design for the world's largest Omnimax Theater at The Statue of Liberty Science Center. He also created sound design for a video game titled Esoteria III.  Manny Medina who was trained by Musial, performed live on “MTV” in 2003. The song Musial wrote “Jersey City Is The Melting Pot” was featured on the cover of “The Jersey City Reporter” in 2007 and was performed live with a 13 piece show band in 2008.  The song “Spread Peace All Over The World” he produced was used by the United Nations for the 50th anniversary.
           In 1995 David Musial created an educational media concept he trademarked titled “Smart Trax®”.   He has produced, engineered, directed and composed most of the songs.  The Partnership for a Drug Free America awarded his song "We, Are, Drug, Free”,  first place in the State of New Jersey and then it was awarded the performance of the year at the national conference in NYC, April-2004.  The song “March” (against drugs) he produced a music video for, won first place for the same in 2005.   His music has been extensively used by DARE America at “DARE Graduations,”  and it was also used by The NYC Department of Health’s “Reality Check” program, the MADD/BuzzFreeProm.com organization & even the United Way.  

From 2002 to 2003, Musial participated in a 17 city tour in the United States as the Director of the Live Music Division of the Manhattan Model Search corporation. Musial was the host of a talent search where he invited A&R Agents from record companies to come and listen to singers perform, with the hopes of inspiring recording contracts. There were typically $3,000 to 5,000 people in the audiences. Musial signed 13 singers to his Smart Trax® Media and Skate Dance™ Records labels.

Also in 2006, songs produced by Musial for Smart Trax Media, were the feature entertainment at the national convention for the Young Marines organization, and they featured his work in their national magazine in October 2006. Musial was presented a gold medal by Col. Michael Kessler, the national executive director, for his positive message musical compositions. He also received a verbal invitation by officer Joseph Bles to have his songs performed by Smart Trax artists at the Pentagon in October 2007. In August 2006 his 9/11 tribute song, “Brave New American Heroes” was inaugurated into the “World Trade Center Memorial” archives for all perpetuity, and he received a letter from Mayor Michael Bloomberg in NYC and from First Lady Mrs. Laura Bush. Musial wrote the lyrics and produced all of the vocals (with seven lead singers) for a song about Dr. Martin Luther King titled “I Have A Real Dream." The Prague Symphony Orchestra performed the music. Musial directed the music video and the song is currently airing on the radio in Canada. “Smart Trax® Live” is a theatrical stage show created by Musial, based on a variety of successful test performances. The double DVD will go to market first quarter 2009 & Middle school students in the U.S. and Canada will begin to perform his shows as well in 2009. A portion of the proceeds from Smart Trax™ Media will be donated to a variety of charities related to music education.

From October 2007 to present, Musial manages and is the executive producer of a brilliant singer/songwriter/musician/dancer/actor from Prince Edward Island: Brady Cudmore. 30 songs, 12 producers, 3 music videos, many feature news articles, live shows in the NYC area including television.

In the summer of 2007, th Jersey City Board of Education endorsed Smart trax Live Show, Inc (501) (c)(3) and Musial produced shows for over 25,000 people in this city and in Western NY. Musial produced the music at a "G.R.E.A.T. Graduation" ("Gang Resistance Education And Training run by U.S.Marshals), and is now creating a theme song for them. Musial has been endorsed by "The Music Producer" music software program based out of Miami and will use this application to make the sound track.

In July 2009, Musial produced Smart Trax™ Live Shows in Disney for the D.A.R.E. International Convention. Many requests evolved for more shows around the world. Smart Trax will be the featured act in 2011! Musioal met with the president of D.A.R.E. in Los Angeles in October.

In September, Inspector General Joe Bless of the Young Marines invited David to compose a theme song for an award winning campaign designed by three high school students in Red Bluff, California who were student members of this organization. The song is called "IMPACT". On October21, 2009 Brady Cudmore, a Smart Trax Star, gave a world premiere at the Red Bluff High School to several hundred screaming new fans. (See the video here)ABC TV and local radio & news covered the event.On 10/23 Musial proceed to produce a show for this song in the Hall Of Heroes at the Pentagon as these teens received the "Fulcrum Shield" award at the beginning of the Red Ribbon Week. Brady Cudmore "Rocked The House" with a dynamic live performance. More prestigious show invitations were presented to Musial immediately after this event.

Currently David Musial is producing a CD and a DVD (15 Music Videos) for the Kristin Brooks Hope Center a.k.a. (1-800-Suicide), a national suicide prevention center based in Washington. His song from Smart Trax Max “Don’t Go Away” and the music video will be on the album. Brady Cudmore from Smart Trax will have his song “Today Is The Day” and many of Musial’s associates and students are also contributing. The national acts “Third Eye Blind”, “R.E.M” and JOURNEY will contribute as well. The anticipated release date is May 7, 2010, the 10th anniversary of the foundation.
