Kate Brownwyn Gifford (born April 4th, 1984 in Melbourne, Australia) is a semi professional darts player. She has competed in various dart tournaments in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
She first started playing darts at the tender age of 6, playing locally and learning the game through the help of the Victorian Junior Academy. She represented her first league, Victorian Ladies Darts Association at age 9.
Kate went on to continue to play darts locally and made her State Debut in Sydney, representing Victoria at the age of 14. She continued to play for Victoria at junior level for another two years.
Since then, Kate has played in various tournaments and keeps acheiving personal best results. Her most memorable moment in darts was her first selection for the DPA Australian Ladies Team, which first took place in Dapto, New South Wales, in 2007. With the support of Dart Players Australia, Kate has continued to represent the DPA and be an advid member of the DPA over the last 3 years.
Without really entering any major international tournaments, Kate does not have a nickname to use for her matches, however has previously been refered to as the Australian Princess of Darts.
Kate is currently residing in the United Kingdom and continues to compete in tournaments internationally, further gaining more experience.
