Dr. Diane Dike is the President/Founder of Second Chance with Saving Grace – a nonprofit organization whose mission is “helping hurting people and animals. We encourage, enrich, and educate through written and spoken word by visiting schools, churches, hospitals, prisons and civic organizations to share our message of Hope and Encouragement.” Dr. Diane Dike is an author, speaker, singer, and rare blood disease survivor. She is the recipient of the 2008 IDA Spirit Award.
Dr. Dike lives in the Vail Valley of Colorado with her husband Paul and service dog Gracie. Diane rescued Gracie - known as the world’s first Italian greyhound service dog – when she was a puppy. Now Gracie works daily to preserve Diane’s life. Out of their experience has come an inspiring children’s book series, The Adventures of Gracie & Diane, Book One: Gracie Comes Home and a remarkable autobiography called, God Made Only One of Me. Dr. Dike’s life and her rare blood disease (cryoglobulinemia) have been featured on Oprah’s OWN and Medical Mysteries. Her personal motto is: “Stay Strong and ‘Courageous, No Matter What!”
