Hello, my name is Charles. I am twenty-four years old and currently live in Escondido, California, where I have spent the majority of my life. I am a former UC Berkeley student, and graduated from there in May of 2009 with a degree in mathematics. At some point, I hope to go back to school.
I enjoy Wikipedia because it is a great source of information, above all else. It is wonderful to see so many normal people come together and contribute so much for essentially no personal gain. Wikipedia's open-source format gives it the ability to adapt quickly to changes and helps to reduce biases, within articles, that a single author will inevitably add. The benefits are well worth the costs: the only problems are a bit of vandalism, a few typos and, perhaps, a small number of erroneous edits, all of which can be corrected with ease.
Spending my playtime on Wikipedia is always fun. I have edited quite a few articles on here, and am using this account primarily as a means to keep track of what I have done. You can see my recent contributions by clicking here. It's nice to know that I am making a small contribution to education via my edits to Wikipedia.
I edit articles on a variety of topics. I enjoy working on analytical stuff. My expertise is mathematics, but it is difficult to make informed edits to such pages and very easy to create inconsistencies. As such, I rarely make significant changes. Nonetheless, on rare occasions, I do edit math pages. So far, my most noteworthy math edit was to the measure page. My first edit to an article on Wikipedia was to the sequence page. More frequently, I contribute to subjects other than math. You may see me make small changes to political and philosophical articles. I want to know a bit more about economics and psychology, so I may make small contributions to those sorts of articles from time to time. I have made some contributions to the Federal Reserve System page. In general, I try to make sentences and paragraphs clearer and give articles direction.
