Re: Confused
[edit]Daniel,
You can read about administrators here, but our main tasks are deleting and undeleting pages and blocking vandals. Administrators are promoted through Wikipedia:Requests for adminship, in which they are evaluated by the community on their service and trustworthiness. If you'd like to get an idea of what it takes to be an admin, look at some of the active or closed RFAs.
I looked at your first article, River Alun, and noticed that it was redundant with the preexisting article River Alyn, so I merged the two pages, adding some text from yours into that page. But don't worry - many people's first articles are deleted entirely.
P.S. It's customary to post on the bottom of talk pages, which can be done using the "+" button between "edit this page" and "history". Λυδαcιτγ 18:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
This is for my note, please do not think i talk to myself!!!

worm messages
[edit]Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. SqueakBox 18:48, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- Your worm messages stuck on peoples user pages, SqueakBox 19:02, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- ie a User:Selfworm template, SqueakBox 19:09, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- soz, wont do it again. Danielspencer91 19:10, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- I have apologised to everyone involved.
- as a note to all readers of this message, the worm involved was NOT a virus. It was in fact a joke developed by Selfworm as a harmless joke. No page codes or the stability of wikipedia were harmed by this mistake.Danielspencer91 14:53, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Sorry!
[edit]Hi! Thanks for the smile, it surely made my day better. ;) You didn't have any reason to apologise (as far as I remember) but I appreciate it anyway! Funk Junkie 20:54, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Worms and admin tags
[edit]May I make a suggestion? Most of your contributions so far aren't helpful or appreciated. Instead of sticking unreferenced tags on articles, find references. Stay away from jokes on User pages. The admin tags should be used sparingly, since they are ugly and to go around sticking them on every article is generally frowned upon. They are typically used when there is controversial information in an article, or information that doesn't seem right or is unverifiable through a quick Google. Thus, sticking an unreferenced tag on Carl Peter Parelius Essendrop is inappropriate - it is easy to find out if he was the "Norwegian Minister of Education and Church Affairs 1872-1874 (temporary Minister 1875), and temporarily appointed councillor of state in interim government in Stockholm 1881". Please, try to upgrade your contributions and make them more quality-oriented. --David Shankbone 22:08, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- Will do! Danielspencer91 14:51, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Daniel has given you a mollusk! Mollusks somehow promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by giving something friendly to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Make your own message to spread WikiLove to others! Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 13:07, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi Daniel. I just wanted to point out to you that Wikipedia:WikiProject India/Peer review/Tata Elxsi, which you had nominated for speedy deletion, does not meet WP:CSD#G1, because it is a request for peer review (i.e. other's are supposed to say what they think of the article, and how it can improve; it isn't supposed to have content from the beginning). Usually, pages on wiki-space aren't nonsense (but there are exceptions). Hope that helps, and feel free to ask me any questions if you need help. · AndonicO Talk 13:49, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe in a few months you could be an administrator, but it really isn't a big deal. The only things we do differently are block users, delete/restore articles, and protect pages. To have someone blocked (vandals/trolls only, of course), just report them at WP:AIV; to have a page deleted, check if it meets the criteria for speedy deletion. If it doesn't (like Wikipedia:WikiProject India/Peer review/Tata Elxsi), go to WP:AFD (note that Wikipedia:WikiProject India/Peer review/Tata Elxsi would have been inappropriate there too, because it shouldn't be deleted at all). To have a page protected, see WP:RFPP. You should have maybe five or six months of experience (at least) before you become an administrator; I suggest you don't run now (I see you created a nomination page), as you'd probably be disappointed by opposes (you have very little experience, so almost no one will support). In the meantime, you could join a WikiProject (like Wikipedia:WikiProject India); there are WikiProjects for just about everything. I also recommend WP:FPC. In short, I think you should forget about being an administrator until someone offers to nominate you. · AndonicO Talk 16:42, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Censorship
[edit]Regarding this comment. Wikipedia is not censored. --Dreaded Walrus t c 19:40, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- And do not edit other people's comments. --Dreaded Walrus t c 20:03, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- The edit in discussion was my comment, so i could edit it how i wanted. my nickname is Someone dedicated to making your day a little bit better! 10:16, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- I realised you removed your own comment, but in doing so you removed my response to it. Hence the "editing other people's comments" thing. :) --Dreaded Walrus t c 11:06, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- soz, i didn't realise. Someone dedicated to making your day a little bit better! 10:34, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Bert Brenen
[edit]How is Bert Brenen not notable? Please explain how. Mattythewhite 10:59, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- i've deleted the template now, sorry!Someone dedicated to making your day a little bit better! 11:07, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. But if you ever need help with footballers notability just send me a message. Mattythewhite 11:06, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Please do not refer to edits that have probably been made in good faith (like this) as vandalism. The question whether HP7 should be a redirect or a disambiguation page is a content dispute, and content disputes should not be listed at WP:AIV. Thank you, Kusma (talk) 11:44, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Alcohol
[edit]Any objection to redirecting that abandoned list of musicians to List of deaths through alcohol? ×Meegs 10:58, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Please remember to be civil when dealing with other editors, even if you disagree with them. I noticed you had some quite rude edit summaries attacking 68.101.153.189. Also, it would be better to discuss the changes rather than to edit war with someone over them; that could get both of you blocked.
Anyway, I've redirected the page to the page it was originally a redirect to. None of the article versions of it seemed to have a claim of notability and would have probably been speedily deleted pretty soon anyway. Pyrospirit (talk · contribs) 15:04, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- No big deal. Just remember that unless it's clearly vandalism, there may be a valid reason for someone else's edit, and even if it is vandalism, you should still be civil towards them. After all, insulting the vandals just gives them attention, which is what they want. I'm just glad this can be resolved without getting into administrator intervention, 3RR blocks, or any of that stuff.
- Oh, and:
