Rescue Riders- Riding For a Reason new article content ...
The Rescue Riders is a Not-For-Profit organization, founded in 2005 and created out of the need to help motorists who suffer medical needs while out on the open road. The founder, Dean Akey, was out on his motorcycle and after being cut off, suffered head and body injuries his fellow riders could not help with. And with that, Dean started training and with the help of Kevin Murphy, John Cichon, and Pat Hill got together to make sure every motorcycle ride was supplied with a trained first responder. From this idea, the Rescue Riders volunteers have grown to over 4000 supporters and 49 states.
Training for the Rescue Riders was crucial to the group, and is now a class anyone can take through Accident Scene Management classes and are held all across the United States.
