[edit]Ramachandi High School often known as R.C High School is a Government Educational Institution imparting education to co-education level. This institution was established in the Year 1981 in a tiny village named Ekalpur located on the banks of river Gobari in the District of Kendrapara, Odisha, India. The courses at high school levels are affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

As per few initial reports, some of the local leaders of the village had played an eminent role for the establishment of the school followed by construction of few initial buildings to proceed with. The school came into existence on the year 1981 as privately funded one and later got provisioned as a fully Government body by Govt. of Odisha.
Until the year 1999, school buildings were of mud-houses with thatch roofs. It was 1999 super cyclone which changed the whole dynamics of the entire area by bringing out utmost devastation and destroying so many properties and lives. Post the '99 cyclone, new pucca buildings for school got constructed.
Campus & Facilities
[edit]The school is located on an area of approximately 1 acre of land full of lustrous green flora and fauna along with some towering concrete school buildings. River Gobari flows near by and Lord Nrushinganath Temple is just situated outside the campus. School is well located within 2 km radius from other near by villages like Ranki, Arada, Sobala etc and it's well connected to these villages as well with pucca roads.
It has adequate number of Classrooms, Library, Science and Computer Labs along with a decent sized sports field inside the school campus. The school is well protected with boundary. Ramachandi High School has total 10 (Ten) number of staffs including teaching and non-teaching department. It attracts students from around 4-5 near by villages and is been known as one of the best school in the panchayat. The school is famous for producing quality students who have successfully established themselves in various government and non-government organizations and consistently working for development of the state, country and for themselves.
It extends teaching facilities in Humanities, Social Science, Computer basics etc along with other routine subjects. The main objective of this institution is to disseminate knowledge to the students in different fields. Simultaneously it aims for all round development of the student's Physical, Mental and Moral endeavors. Games and sports are also an integral part of this institution which inspires the students to remain physically fit and mentally fresh enough.
Co-curricular activities
[edit]Students participate in various activities to enhances their skills in their respective fields of education, sports etc. Frequent Odia Debates, Odia/English Poem Recitations, quizzes gets conducted for the active participants. Scout and Guides is also there in the school. Annual sports gets organized every year and students get awards for their excellence.

[edit]The school has a library of over multiple numbers of books to access to. It subscribes to over a lot of magazines/news papers and periodicals of educational and literary nature. Internet access is available to the students in the computer laboratory.

[edit]Famous prayers which are sung in every vernacular school in Odisha are being sung by students everyday before starting of the initial period.
Beloved Teachers
[edit]This school has/had some eminent teachers, who have been recognized broadly by the society, by the students and many others. They have had their fair shares of illustrious foot maps left behind.
- Late Mr. Sarat Chandra Behera (Maths, Science)- He was the assistant Head of the school and was leading the Maths, Science dept to teach. Words will fall short while describing his noble work towards shaping the careers of thousands of students via his teaching. A man of true wisdom, dedication, kindness and pure talent he was. His teachings are still leading innumerable students on right path and inspiring them to be better human beings. One of the finest gems R.C High School has ever seen.
- Mr. Akshay Kumar Sahoo (Odia Literature, English)- He was the Headmaster for a decent amount of time and was known as a kind, gutsy human being. Was loved by all the students across the classes and have contributed a lot to make the school what it is.
