Damorbel.
You appear to be new here.
I suggest you do a little research in the help pages about contributing to Wikipedia.--Damorbel (talk) 13:34, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
After canceling of factors, the final result is
where is the blackbody temperature of the Earth. is the surface temperature of the Sun, is the radius of the Sun, is the distance between the Sun and the Earth, is the albedo of the Earth.

Thanks Blackcloak. I was using this page as my personal sandbox, learning how to write formulas in Wikispeak,--Damorbel (talk) 16:58, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Query wrt Greenhouse effect
[edit]So how long is your sentence in the penalty box? Haven't seen any activity there now that you're not keeping things stirred up. I copied the whole discourse into my talk page so it's easier for me to review. Others are welcome. Just to get you thinking about how to avoid the problems you had, I think we should ask wikigeeks to drop the use of the tab Discussion, and relabel it as Revision Plans (or something to that effect) and add another tab labelled something like Chat/Education or General Discussion. The first would be only to discuss proposed language changes and the second would be where the discussion would be far broader and include review of assumptions, sources of information, teaching/education/queries/responses, proposed new subtopics etc. If something percolates to the level of a modification to the article, the discussion and proposed wording moves to the Revision Plans section. Let WMC do his business in that section, let the free for all occur in the General Discussion. blackcloak (talk) 04:03, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmm. I'm not sure what's bothering you. Wikipedia is not a place to discover good science. All I was using the Black body article for was to sharpen my own thinking and to develop my skills at dealing with people who have little understanding of the matter. I stopped my contributions to the Black body talk section when I thought any reasonable person should be able to understand what was mistaken with the Wiki Black body article. I don't want to go further because too many Wiki editors just slash and burn without being able to explain what is bugging them technically and then they tell me "You are wrong"! I am not wrong, perhaps just my arguments; if my arguments are wrong, where are the better ones? I have asked for them and had no reply.--Damorbel (talk) 21:03, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- I responded to the Greenhouse effect discussion, not the Black body discussion, as the heading indicates. I guess you're just too distracted with all the other things you're doing. blackcloak (talk) 04:09, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- I have a much longer sentence, children! There are sometimes long gaps between my communications. Also I am not entirely familiar with the workings of Wikipedia so was easily trapped by the 3RR. You are positive about reorganising the way contributions are discussed; I am pessimistic. The rules work very well for other articles but nothing will work if discussion contributions, let alone article revisions, get instantly deleted. You are probably quite unaware of some arguments I have presented because they have been deleted by various editors (administrators?), one of whom raised the threat of 3RR, I avoided this by stopping my contribution.--Damorbel (talk) 08:48, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- You can't get your case into the courts until you're willing to be arrested. Just a thought. blackcloak (talk) 02:42, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
