TG Blizzard is an amateur Halo 3 team that competes with Major League Gaming (MLG) and gamebattles under the banner of Tactical Gaming.
History
[edit]Originally created as a Structured Squad for Tactical Warfare's Halo Division it was closed in the waning days of Halo 2 due to a lack of membership. The squad was then reopened in January of 2008 as Halo Division membership swelled after the release of Halo 3. DBLDeathDealer was selected as the squad Leader. Damien TK, who was then Destiny Hero, was chosen as the Squad Assistant, along with starting members FredikinGuard (TW Hunter), Turtle555 (TW Turtle555), EButtigieg, and TW Blind. The Team has seen many roster changes but the longest standing members of TG Blizzard are: Damien TK (Ty), The SkiLLzzZzz (Rob), and Arcaos. The Team is currently sponsored by KontrolFreek [1].

Season History
[edit]TG Blizzard competes primarily in the standard Gambattles Halo 3 North American Team ladder and members also compete in other free and paid entry ladders of their own accord. The North American Team Ladder, as it's name implies, encompasses all teams located in North America.

The current roster has been roughly the same since the Fall 2008 season. The team's consistency in reaching the playoffs[5] (Top 32) is what earned them the sponsorship by KontrolFreak.
Previously they were unofficially sponsored by Xaos Designs [6] which is a graphic design studio owned and operated by Nicholas Froustis [7]

MLG Tournaments
[edit]While TG Blizzard has yet to participate in an MLG event with all of it's members present, THE SkiLLzZzZz and Arcaos went to Meadowlands 2009 with Damien TK as their coach under the name Too Cool for School with the 121st seed [8]. THE SkiLLzZzZz and Arcaos Along with former members TW Blind and TW Flash went to the Dallas 2009 event under the TG Blizzard with the 88th seed [9]
At the Orlando 2008 event Damien TK and former member TW Blind went with TW FalconStorm, all of whom were in TW Cyclone Squad at the time, went in under the name Fatal Factor with the 61st seed [10] .
MLG Misc.
[edit]In the 2009 Pro-Am Showcase #3 Arcaos was awarded the Am MVP for his performance in a three game series with an assortment of Pros and "Am's" on either team. Some notable names that were present are: Chris Puckett, Snipedown of Str8 Rippin, Gun Shot of Surprise, and Poweezy of Breaking Point.[11]
