The Governor's Highway Safety Office (GHSO) is a division of the Tennessee Department of Transportation(TDOT) that is concerned with Tennessee's highway safety. The GHSO is involved with law enforcement, judicial personnel and community advocates with a goal of coordinating "activities and initiatives relating to the human behavioral aspects of highway safety[1]." Programs overseen by the GHSO are "100% federally funded[2]." The GHSO helps run commercial campaigns to raise awareness about several different types of traffic related issues[3].
