Storylines

[edit]Soon after returning from the Great War, John makes a mark in the local business world as a bookmaker and as an enforcer for his brothers' operations. He is engaged to former prostitute Lizzie Stark, unaware that Lizzie is serving his brother, Thomas. He later announces he wants to marry Lizzie, but eventually learns about her relationship with Tommy and ends the engagement. To settle the dispute with the rival Lee family, Tommy and Arthur have John marry to Esme Lee. This creates a rift between the brothers, but they eventually reunite to take over Billy Kimber's territory.
