PACIFIC ISLAND NAMING

[edit]

In assistance to the IDEA project at Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira, I will be doing an audit of current Pacific Island names on wikidata to check whether current aliases are complete, along with whether associated island groups, atolls, and countries are linked and correct (as per data compilated by collection technicians from Documentary Heritage during their project work on Heritage Voyaging Publications).

LUCY CRANWELL: New Zealand's first female curator

[edit]

I am currently working on a project involving Lucy Cranwell, a renowned botanist and palynologist as well as New Zealand's first female curator. My goal is to work through her biblography/publications, any taxa (living or fossil) named after her, along with any outdoor spaces named after her and societies she was influential in contributing to.
