Mental Health

[edit]

"A warmline is a peer-run listening line staffed by people in recovery themselves."[1]

The Warmline is staffed by mental health consumers who provide support to peers by telephone. All phone calls received are kept confidential and callers remain anonymous. Our Telephone Support Specialists are trained to actively listen to their peers, empathize with their concerns and empower individuals to choose their path to wellness and recovery. If you would like to talk to someone who truly understands your struggle and has “been there before” or need assistance in locating a resource to meet your needs, please contact us by calling toll-free: 1-866-661-9276.

The Warmline is not a crisis line. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact the re:solve Crisis Network by calling toll-free: 1-888-796-8226. [2]

A Non-Crisis Peer Support Line for People Living with Mental Illness WarmLine volunteers assist callers with their thoughts and feelings by providing support and encouragement.[3]

Warm Line is a telephone assistance program which provides non-crisis peer-support for individuals and family individuals who may be struggling with problems associated with a psychiatric disability that could benefit from support and help from a caring listener.[4]

HIV

[edit]

The National HIV Telephone Consultation Service (Warmline) at San Francisco General Hospital is a free clinical consultation service that provides expert medical and clinical pharmacy guidance to clinicians caring for patients with HIV/AIDS. Consultation can be especially useful when making critically important decisions about antiretroviral therapy and opportunistic infections. The Warmline has served an essential role for the many clinicians who are not AIDS experts but play key roles in HIV care, but do not have ready access to expert consultation. In addition, the Warmline serves as a medical and clinical pharmacy resource to other AIDS experts. [6]

National HIV/AIDS Clinicians' Consultation Center at the University of California, San Francisco, offers the Warmline[7]
