Algoritm was a Russian publishing company. The company was founded by Sergei Vasilievich Nikolaev[1] in the fall of 1996[2][3][1] Nikolaev continued to direct the company throughout its existence.[2][4][5]
Algoritm is known for publishing controversial books, some of which have caused protests from human rights and Jewish organizations.[2] This has caused the company to be excluded from book exhibitions.[2]
In August 2010, Algorithm-Kniga filed for bankruptcy with the Moscow Arbitration Court. However, the company continued operating. In March 2011, the publishing house participated in the Books of Russia 2011 exhibition.Cite error: A <ref>
