Background
[edit]After finding each other on the internet and in the city in 2008, the group quickly started promoting their music on the internet and making demos. After getting discovered by a rep from Interscope Records, the group quickly began making music for mixtapes while recording their debut album. They stated that they wanted to bring back the "Young Nation" like other teen acts in '90s such as Aaliyah and Immature and good music they grew up on during the '90s. The group became known for their unique hip-hop soul sound and baggy bright colored attire similar to what Will Smith wore on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and TLC wore in the '90s.
