SPARROW A NEW CLASS OF TRANSPORTATION
Corbin Motors had this to say about the Alpha Sparrow; “The vehicle you see here was designed to test the concept of a single passenger commuter vehicle and was built for a world debut at the 1996 San Francisco International Auto Show. This particular prototype lacks many of the features that the production model includes, such basic features as: automotive safety glass, ventilation/heating and roll down windows.
Although it was never intended to be driven on public roads, it is registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles and has more than 300 miles on the odometer.”
With the success of the Alpha Car, Corbin Motors was founded in 1999 and began producing Sparrows the same year. The first production Sparrow, which became known as the Fastback or Jelly Bean version, bore a close resemblance to the Alpha car, 99 of this body style were built.

In 2000 Domino Pizza Company who was extremely interested in creating a fleet of delivery vehicles that their franchisees could use approached Corbin Motors and asked if they could develop a vehicle that would accommodate their need to carry several pizzas and a single delivery person they would be willing to offer them to franchise owners. Corbin responded by creating the notoriously popular Pizza Butt Sparrow or Hatchback as it is also referred to.
Domino's Pizza restaurant owner Wally Wilcox debuted the all new Sparrow 2000 at the Domino's Pizza Worldwide Rally & Global Awards held in Las Vegas Nevada in 2000. After the show, Wally put his Sparrow into service as a delivery vehicle at his local Domino's Pizza shop.
