Wikipedia:Requests for media is a resort for users to request an image, video or audio file. It is an open process which seeks for specific media. RfM is intented to find new media that is not already published on Wikimedia Commons. It may also be used to request a photo that already exists but is being used under fair use and does not meet GNU requirements. It may be used for listing images that where deleted as per Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion but only under the circumstance that the [[<pagename>\image is needed]]. Ultimately, the content of Wikipedia is determined by making progress toward a community consensus but also by allowing people to find and develop their skills. However, the size of Wikipedia prevents community members from actively following every development. As a result, sometimes it's useful to request help from a someone that may be specialized in a subject, geographically closer to a specific artificat, and hence may be more apt and motivated to become part of the community.
This page is a way that anyone can request other Wikipedians to help them develop an article by taking photo's, video or sound clips. Anyone may visit any of these articles, to help them reach agreement. A good quality RfM can help you find the perfect free media. When listing an image, video or audio, you should also place a notice on the appropriate talk page.
It will help the RfM process if everyone who lists something on this page tries to help out at least one other page listed here.
