' Caity Kauffman
Caity Kauffman is an up and coming journalist focusing on sports, broadcasting, social media, and multimedia. She currently attends Florida Gulf Coast University and produces content for the FGCU Sports Report.
Kauffman was born on August 23rd, 1989 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Gene Kauffman and Deb Fulton-Kauffman. Caity Kauffman was the first child born to Gene and Deb, she spent most of her early childhood in Wisconsin before moving to Iowa and finally settling into Fort Myers, Florida.
Kauffman graduated in the inaugural class at North Fort Myers High School Center for the Arts and Media with a diploma in Media Arts. She elected to attend Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida.
Caity began covering high school football for the Fort Myers News Press during her freshman year at FGCU. Her interest in sports media and broadcasting escalated as her collegiate career progressed.
Kauffman is most well known for her coverage of the Florida Everblades of the ECHLin the 2009-2010 season. She demonstrated the multimedia aspects of a modern reporter by doing on-ice interviews, and video Q & A sessions, that were later transcribed for print in the Naples Daily News.
She has continued her passion for hockey and is the Media Relations/Game Day Operations Coordinator for the Florida Jr. Blades of the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League <"Florida Jr. Blades Hockey."
