I am a social studies teacher living in Southern California. I have a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree (with honors) in military history with a concentration in American Revolution studies. My specific area of interest is the Royal Navy during the Age of Sail, and my book, Fortune's Favorite: Sir Charles Douglas and the Breaking of the Line is being published by Fireship Press. I also write screenplays, and have won contests, including Week 9 of the CoWrite screenplay contest, the Scriptwriters Network Producers Outreach Program screenplay contest, the Fanlib.com Kirk vs. Picard screenplay contest, Week 3. I have also worked as a professional musician, playing electric bass guitar, a comic book inker, a background actor on television shows, and a reviewer for pop culture web sites.
