Welcome! I am a long time Wikipedia reader who has generally only made minor corrections to articles. An attempt to step up my interaction with WP led me to create my account, which is named after a neighborhood in Mumbai that I used to live in. My watchlist is still pretty bare, I mostly only look after the pages of academic institutions that I have attended, but find myself looking up all manner of articles on Wikipedia from current events to history and technology to popular culture.

About Me

[edit]

Look! I've self-identified with a number of my credentials =======================================================>
I am a 25 year old American living in Los Angeles. Before returning to California this summer, I had been living abroad since September, 2006 in Mumbai and then London. In addition, I've traveled to China, France, Belgium, Spain, The Netherlands, Slovakia, Italy, Austria, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece, India, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico and Turks & Caicos. I have also spent considerable time in the United Kingdom, mostly in London but also in Cambridge and Wales. I was born in San Francisco, California and grew up in the Bay Area.

On Wikipedia

[edit]

I suppose I may be categorized as a Wikignome. Although I have contributed frequently over the years I do not take part in any Wikiprojects and I haven't started any new pages myself. I will often make minor spelling, punctuation or formatting corrections to articles that I come across through my web browsing, and my watchlist largely consists of subjects that connect to my life, from the various educational institutions that I have attended like Marin Academy to places where I have lived like San Francisco and New York City's East Village. Beyond that, I generally find myself reading and editing articles related to media, internet culture and technology, as well as a smattering of history and philosophy, but really anything and everything. After living abroad for several years, I've been following more articles related to Indian culture and business, London neighborhoods, European history and various bits of esoteric knowledge. I also shamelessly compile interesting images that I find on Wikipedia into a screen saver and have just signed up for the email service of the Featured Article of the day.
