Swimming Pool Safety Barriers are devices utilized to secure a swimming pool from access by small children. The most well known type of swimming pool barrier is a pool fence. Many municipalities in the U.S. require a backyard or other area that contains a swimming pool to be surrounded by a tall fence. Additionally, some states and cities require that a secondary fence or other barrier be installed between a residence and a swimming pool. This type of barrier can either be a special swimming pool fence, usually 4 to 5 feet high, or self-closing devices for all doors of the residence with access to the swimming pool.
