Robert Masello is an accomplished journalist, television writer and novelist. His novels generally fall within the genre of supernatural thrillers. His most recent novel, The Medusa Amulet, was published in 2011 and centers on Renaissance sculptor Benvenuto Cellini in a clash of history and fantasy. One of his most well known works, Vigil, became a USA Today bestseller.
He has also published several works of non-fiction, several of which focus on the occult, such as Raising Hell: a Concise History of the Black Arts. Other non-fiction work focuses on writing, including A Friend in the Business: Honest Advice for Anyone Trying to Break into Television Writing.
His writing has been featured in newspapers that included the Los Angeles Times and The Chicago Tribune. His work can also be found in magazines that include Town and Country, People, TV Guide and Men’s Journal.
As a television writer he has contributed to programs such as “Early Edition” and “Charmed.”
Originally from Evanston Illinois, he attended Princeton University where he studied writing. He currently lives in Santa Monica, California.
