The 2017–18 Seattle SuperSonics season was Seattle's 45th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and their third apperance since 2008. This is also the Seattle's last season with Ray Allen as he was traded in the off-season to the Atlanta Hawks for a second–round pick.
The regular season ended with a 12–69 win–loss record and the team missed the playoffs entirely. The team only played 81 games due to a game versus the Golden State Warriors that was cancelled due to Seattle Arena having major complications and this game was not considered significant anyway.

New jersey and color scheme [ edit ]
The SuperSonics announced their new color scheme and jerseys. The colors they picked are: Aurora green, White, Red, Yellow. They would use this color scheme and uniform only this season, In the 2018-19 NBA season, They would change their color scheme and color.
Mitch Howlen and Sean Steamson's rookie season were in doubt, Due to Mitch Howlen having injuries. After going 4–43 in the regular season, Chances for the team to stay in Seattle took a heavy blow and mediocrity reaches at highest peak, as owner Howard Schultz made public that his desire to disband the team in the 2018–19 NBA season. At November 4 until December 5, the team would hit rock bottom. The SuperSonics would go on a franchise-worst 18-game losing streak.
