I'm currently a graduate student pursuing a masters' degree in Data Science from the Data Science Institute (DSI) at the University of Virginia. Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi,India and thereafter worked at D. E. Shaw India Pvt Ltd. in the financial services sector for 3 years as a data analyst. During that time, I worked on various big and complex alternative sources of data sets to analyze patterns in consumer behavior and leverage predictive analytics to build models that could forecast company and industry-wide trends. My areas of interest in the field of data science are natural language processing, predictive analytics, consumer preference analytics and recommendation systems.
My personal interests are traveling, food culture, and surfing.
My work
