My name is Marshall Scheetz. I am a practicing Cooper and a trades historian for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. I have an undergraduate degree in History from Western Michigan University. My user name is an old English spelling of the word cooper. The primary goal of my profession and creating a Wikipedia account is to bring the true history of the trade of the cooper and its sons and daughters to light. There are many myths and illusions surrounding the trade today. These need to be explained away.
