Nick Guggemos (born December 17, 1995) is an American football tight end who is a free agent. He played college football at St. Thomas.

Early life

Guggemos was born in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and attended Benilde-St. Margaret's High School, graduating in 2014.

College career

Guggemos played wide receiver at St. Thomas from 2014 to 2018 until the program was kicked out of the MIAC. He had 1 reception for 8 yards, and 1 rush for -4 yards.[1]

Professional career

Seattle Seahawks

On May 6, 2021, Guggemos was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.[2] On June 7, he was released.

Washington Football Team

On July 29, 2021, the Washington Football Team signed Guggemos. On August 17, he was released.[3]

Cleveland Browns

On December 15, 2021, the Cleveland Browns signed Guggemos to their practice squad. Six days later, he was released. On January 4, he was signed to the practice squad.[4] On January 10, he was signed to a reserve/futures contract. On May 24, he was waived.

Green Bay Packers

On November 29, 2022, the Green Bay Packers signed Guggemos to their practice squad. On January 10, he was signed to a reserve/futures contract. On May 23, he was waived.

Buffalo Bills

On June 15, 2023, the Buffalo Bills signed Guggemos.[5] On July 25, he was waived.

Personal life

He is the son of Neal Guggemos, a former defensive back/kick returner for the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. His younger brother, Matt, plays defensive back for the Minnesota Golden Gophers.[6]
