Statement
[edit]I have been a longtime fan of Wikipedia and it's democratic methods. It has been a while since I have been involved in an online community - I once ran a huge political discussion board on Ryze called 500 Citizens Of The World - but ran away screaming when it devolved into a partisan nightmare.
I am interested in creating articles about interesting figures that I have come across IRL - but with whom I have no COI - who may be of interest to the community or add depth to related lists. My first two are unrelated to each other - except that they have both been featured in New Years Honors lists - One a Philanthropist - another a soldier. I shall be combing backwaters of lists like these for individuals I have some knowledge about - but no personal connection.
I shall also be sweeping through existing articles to see if I have anything to offer....!
