Inspiration
[edit]Saint Blasphemer is heavily influenced by Tool, Peter Gabriel. Nirvana, and Jane's Addiction. Saint Blasphemer has a following in the Santa Ana area, based on their ability at performing live[1][2]. Thomas Monroe, who also serves to write the bands lyrics, serves as head of the Orange County Poetry club.[3]
Themes
[edit]Addiction is a major theme of Saint Blasphemer's music. The songs are written about the frustration of seeing family and friends struggle with addiction.
Alienation and loss are two other themes found throughout Saint Blasphemer's writing.
Philosophy
[edit]"Remember when you were a kid, how a song could make you feel like you weren't the only one going through heavy feelings? Our goal is to make music that can do that for other people."
