This project is ongoing and I am having an AWESOME time with the youth. The entire high school youth group really have a lot of great thoughts and great insights into the discussion we have. I am excited the God has called me to help with facilitating these groups.
My Wingman (see Profession) and I are working on creating a Ministry where we get together with a small group and do a type of Bible study or book study then hit the courts. We call it R.A.T.T.S. or Racquetball Amatuers Trusting the Savior. This is an exciting adventure to start up and I can't wait to get things going.
I have been in the Air Force for over 6 years and am testing for Staff Sergeant for the third time and hope I get the promotion this time around. I currently have a troop I supervise as I have been to Airman Leadership School so therefore I am a Sergeant without the stripe.
Wiki works
Wiki is fun, I think, at least so far. I use wiki at work all the time and know somewhat how the formatting and things work. If you see something that is a bit messed up please leave me a note on the discussion page and I will be more than happy to learn.
So that I don't break the "advertising" rule I will mention what I blog about but by no means do I expect all wikipedians to take time out of their day just to see my blogs.
Mac's Mayhem is about my life in general. I blog about whatever happens in everyday life that peaks my interest, or is something funny or absurd that someone did.
Mac's deployment is really just that. I am deploying this year and when I do, I plan to take my laptop with me so I can continue to blog from the giant sandbox. I really don't know what to expect from the deployment or my job at the moment but when I get there I can start blogging about my experiences. Well, at least the unclassified ones, otherwise I'd have to shoot you ;).
So my wingman (see banner below) and I have been finding topics to blog about as far as sports is concerned. Right now it is a hockey watch because thats the biggest sports going on at the moment that we like. I am a fan of the St. Louis Blues and Tom is a fan of the Penguins (who may be moving).
At the Museum is about the time I spend at the USAF Museum. I started volunteering at the United States Air Force Museum in January 2007 and have enjoyed my experience so far. So this blog is about my times at the museum. We have had some interesting visitors so far but I am sure it will get worse.
The final blog (so far) is Racquetball 101. This blog is eventually going to be a final product. Tom and I also are working this blog as well. In this blog, we discuss techniques to help beginners get better at the sport of racquetball. Once complete, the blog will be a 7 (for now) step process where a reader can take as much or little of it in as they want to learn the sport.
My family is pretty small. Just me, my wife and our cat, Kanga. We plan to have kids sometime soon but with finances and deployment its hard to plan a bit. But we plan to have at least 1 but probably two kids.
I have been serving this country in the United States Air Force for 6 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I look forward to my deployment this year and look more forward to the next 14 years (at least) of my career.
I played trumpet in high school which was 7 years ago. I recently bought a trumpet and am working on learning it all over again. So far as the worship "leader", I am more of a participant in the worship team at my church. We have such a great bond and will be one of the many things I miss the most while deployed.
