Mayfield Middle School is one of the 46 state-maintained secondary schools on the Isle of Wight, located in Ryde- the Islands most populous town- with a population of approximately 30,000. The school has a total of 451 enrolled, but due to the schooling system on the Isle of Wight changing- there is one year missing so the total enrolled now is 351. The school is due to be replaced by Greenmount Primary during the switchover.
