They discussed their futures and Heather's marriage, which led to Heather deciding not to take Roger back and move on with her life.

Although flattered, Heather refuses him, as she sees her life and career in Liverpool and she is unwilling to give them up for a life in Belfast with Will. He understands and leaves, returning again May to bring his sister Rose back home after she kept extending her stay with Heather to avoid marrying her fiancé Timmy (Kilian McKenna). Frustrated by Rose's refusals to come home, Heather persuaded him to stay calm and let Rose stay and make her mind up about the wedding.
