Biography

Yoon received his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and received his Master's degree at the Shepherd School of Music of Rice University in Houston, Texas. He has recently received an Artist Diploma in the field of Piano Performance at the Longy School of Music of Bard College. His teachers include Zalina Gurevich, Christopher Harding, and Leslie Amper. He has received further musical instructions from Anton Nel and Ann Schein during his study at the Aspen Music Festival and Sandra Wright Shen during his study at the Brevard Music Center. He has received additional music instructions and coaching from Peter Takács, Levon Chilingirian, Vadym Kholodenko, and Peter Serkin. He also composes music, and he has received composition instructions and coaching from Daniel Crozier, Bright Sheng, Paul Schoenfield, and Paul Brust.
