Anak Agung Ayu Puspa Aditya Karang (born December 25, 1996) better known by mononym as Dita (Korean: 디타), is an Indonesian singer based in Seoul, South Korea. She is known as a member of the South Korean female idol group Secret Number under Vine Entertainment and is the first Indonesian woman to debut as an idol in the K-pop industry. She occupies a position as the group's main dancer and vocalist.
Early life
[edit]Dita grew up in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She has dreamed of becoming K-pop idol since a young age and did a lot of dance covers. The desire began with her love for the female idol group of YG Entertainment, 2NE1 that inspires her to become an idol. After graduating from high school, Dita attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, New York to study dance theatre for 2 years. She completed her studies in 2017. After graduation, Dita moved to South Korea to got auditioned and passed with her impressive dancing skill.
Prior to her debut, Dita received a training period (trainee) at the Korean Entertainment academy Born Star Training Center in New York. She was also a member of 1MILLION Dance Studio, a famous dance community in South Korea.
Career
[edit]Dita was revealed as the fourth member of the Vine Entertainment's new girl group 'Secret Number' on February 4, 2020. In the same year, the group released their debut single 'Who Dis?' on May 19.
