Tequila 61 is a Mexican restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska located on 445 W Fourth Ave.[1][2][3] The menu is a blend between Mexican cuisine and Alaskan seafood.[1] Some items on the menu are tacos, steaks, porkchops, as well as Alaskan oysters and popcorn shrimp.[4]
It was featured in Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri in episode Gettin' Funky in Flavortown.[1][2] The episode stars the owner, Jim Lets, and the chef, Matt Orchard.[2]
As mentioned by the owner in the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode, the name of the restaurant is taken from the latitude of Anchorage, which is 61°.[2]
