The hokey jokey pokey wokey
The Hokey jokey pokey wokey was first introduced to society in 1826 by Robert chambers's wife Karen Chambers as a rebuttal of his song the Hokey cokey in march of 1826. Mrs chambers was said to be furious at the order of the hokey cokey saying that it had nothing to do with putting your left leg in and left leg out.
In late June of 1826 Karen Chambers decided she would bring to the world the true version and introduced the Hokey jokey pokey wokey.
Karen Chambers of Scottish decent grew up making songs around campfires with family and friends this is said where the hokey jokey pokey wokey was born to society in the early years of 1817 but did not become popular till 1826. Karen Chambers was said to be so furious at the fact her husband was to copy and edit her song that she became furious and shamed Robert throughout the whole of scotland. Said to be angry and getting involved where not needed in other aspects of his life through sheer anger. This is where the origins of being a "Karen" started.
