Chaim Walkin at DRV
Hi,
In case you are interested, I think someone has raised Chaim Walkin that you speedied back in August at DRV - see here: Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2008_November_8 Unusual? Quite TalkQu 18:08, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Here's a picture, front of NYtimes at 1953, of Rabbi chaim Walkin, as the kid who survived the war and came to the US. today he's one of the biggest rabbis in Israel, take a look at the Hebrew page about him at http://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%97%D7%99%D7%99%D7%9D_%D7%95%D7%90%D7%9C%D7%A7%D7%99%D7%9F, I have more articles from news paper I just need to find a way to upload. please think twice and give me a chance to write it again, and then will wait a week for discussion if to leave it. I'm sure that if I will re-write it you will understand the importance. one week! and you'll see. ok? --89.139.70.117 (talk) 01:16, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
I can't load the picture. you can see it on the Hebrew page. please take a look. thanks a million.

Hi
Since the page on Chaim Walkin was re-edit and confirmed, would you be kind to erase the discussion on your talk page?, [september, subject: Deletion of page Chaim Walkin]. Thanks. --Korach (talk) 16:54, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- In general, I do not delete any historical posts. Is there a particular reason I should for this other than just wanting it? I have saved all posts, even those that negatively criticize me. Thanks, Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 22:46, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- I undersatnd, but yet - there is a reason: 1) since the article was fixed, and the importance become clear, I think that we don't have to show who ever google's "chaim walkin" that we thought to erase it. and 2) the Rabbi himself may see it. I prefer [out of respect] that he shouldn't see it. it will mean a lot to me if you'll erase it, for the reasons I wrote. all the best, and happy holiday's season [happy Chanuka too?]. --Korach (talk) 05:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- How about this, I noindex the page so it will never show up in google results and the only way it will be ever found is if somebody reads through all of my archives? (very unlikley).Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 14:33, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

- I often patrol the CSD category so I take whatever comes my way. I am assuming that is a compliment so thank you. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 16:29, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- A compliment, indeed. It's good work you're doing. Timneu22 (talk) 17:04, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, a lot of the behind the scenes work goes unnoticed (such as speedy deletion tagging and deletion). I mostly get my page flooded with hate spam etc, it is nice to get a compliment. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 17:23, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

- Yep, sure did! Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 18:32, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
It says it was deleted because it didnt have enough content. I was still working on it, which is why it was short. I had not finished. Can you put it back? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.166.126 (talk) 20:58, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Can you provide me with a reliable source that proves it is actually noptable and not just *another* web comic? Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 21:02, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Umm.. sure. How do you want to me to do that though? Do you want me to take pictures of it in newspapers and E-mail them to you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.166.126 (talk) 21:05, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- If it is a web link, post it here. If it is a reliable news paper, tell me the name of the paper, publish date and any other identifiable information. Please also read our section on reliable sources and orignial research. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 21:07, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Well it's in lots of newspapers but I read it in The Scroll. It's been published in there for a while.
- Where is the scroll published? who publishes it? It is a national or local or school based paper? I need a bit more information. Also, is this comic a web comic, or a paper comic? Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 21:32, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- I have found several the, "scroll," news papers, all pusblished through universitys. Is this comic just published or is there 3rd party coverage of this why it is notable? These are all very important questions to be asked before an article can be created on wikipedia. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 21:35, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Please restore the FIRST edit of Dancing To A Different Beat (Michelle McManus album). Another editor redirected it then someone added a speedy-delete tag when the redirect target went red. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 18:34, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- sure thing. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 18:34, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Done - Restored. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 18:36, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Please restore the talk page, if any.
- Also, if Dancing To a Different Beat is a song by Michelle McManus please either restore it and its talk page or change the reason for deletion. The current reason for deletion says "(A9: Non-notable music by artist with no Wikipedia article)."
- There has been at least one Michelle McManus-related deletion due to banned users creating articles. If you suspect that's the case, please say so and delete away.
- davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 18:38, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- That page does not link to something I deleted. is there another article? Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 19:09, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Disregard the Dancing To a Different Beat request, it was an properly-deleted article.
- Please merge the old talk page for Dancing To A Different Beat (Michelle McManus album) to the newly-recreated Talk:Dancing To A Different Beat (Michelle McManus album). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 19:16, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
I restored the deleted revision. I did not merge it though. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 19:31, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I didn't realize you could restore without deleting existing versions. I effected the merge. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 21:12, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yea, I can selectivley restore any old revisions. If it is not the current revision, the content will not be added to the current revision, however the historical revision will appear in the history (and can be merged from there by any user). Glad I could be of assistance. If you need anything else, please feel free to let me know. Thanks and happy holdiays. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 21:14, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

- I'm afraid the one thing I need is beyond the power of even checkuser: Determine with 100% certainty if the recent editor and re-creator of Michelle McManus related content is a banned user. Sigh. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:32, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- I am not familiar with this sock case. WHo is the sock master? Does it pass the WP:DUCK test in your opinion? What is the editor you suspect as a sock. I will research things and if I think there is enough evidence, I have been known to be WP:BOLD and block without definitied WP:CU evidence.Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 23:47, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

- It's already being investigated, see User talk:Travis Smiith, User talk:Spainton, Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Nimbley6 (5th), and Wikipedia talk:Suspected sock puppets/Nimbley6 (5th), and a whole host of user, talk, and contribs pages linked from the sock puppet page. I don't have any evidence of my own to offer. The duck test is a bit subjective and I tend to err on the side of good faith when making such calls. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 00:15, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
←Ill take a peek at things tomorrow and see what I can figure out. What would you say are the most commonly hit articles (or category of articles) so I can watch them? Hope I can at least be of a little help. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 03:09, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- ←Other than Michelle McManus and related articles, I don't know, I'd have to dig through the edit histories of all suspected and confirmed socks and look for patterns. This is a case of "the more eyes, the better." davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:24, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Under which of the speedy criteria did you delete this article? If there is no clear explanation I shall probably revert your closing, for what you did was totally unsupported by policy. "Saving time at the AFD" is not one of the speedy criteria. There's a reason for orderly proceeding for even poor articles. DGG (talk) 08:05, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ignore all rules. The article did not stand a snow balls chance in hell at AFD. IF you want to you can do whatever you want to my deletion. Knock yourself out, Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 13:50, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Just a friendly note wondering how an article like Ajay Puri that was recently kept at AfD gets deleted via speedy deletion?--Fabrictramp | talk to me 14:19, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- Let me look into this, i was not aware of an AFD. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 14:22, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- Done - article restored. Sorry for any inconvenience. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 14:25, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Deletion review for Charles A. Coulombe
Your case for deletion was A3, however that heading included that the description that was invalid for articles would still be valid for stubs, instead of deleting, please revert to hitherto latest version adding template United States writer stubs -
- of which it was certainly a valid one, beginning to be substantial.
'Hans Lundahl', Eng and Fr Wikipedia 'User Jacobita', creator of article in question (not logged in right now).
- Done - After review, I undeleted it. it will likley go to afd or something though. Try to clkean it up if you can. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 13:44, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
