Outline of proposed changes

[edit]

I will use these sources to add more information to several parts of this Wikipedia page. My main objective is to provide a brief summary of the important accomplishments and notable actions of each King of the 12th dynasty. Several of the subsections for the different 12th dynasty rulers are only a sentence long, so expanding each one can provide page viewers a brief overview of each kings reign without having to read each individuals Wikipedia page. Adding this information will allow readers to get a comprehensive overview of the 12th dynasty in Egypt and the important political and cultural changes that occurred at this time. This overview will allow readers interested in specific topics or people in the 12th dynasty to narrow down their own search for information.

I will also add several images to this page, including maps detailing Egyptian campaigns into Nubia and the Levant during the 12th dynasty. The maps will aid readers in visualizing the geopolitical conflicts being discussed within the article, especially for those unfamiliar with Ancient Egypt. Maps are an important visual aid and would also connect the locations discussed in the article to real places in Modern Egypt and the surrounding area.

In Senusret I’s section, I will provide brief information about the building projects that he initiated across Egypt. I will also expand upon the information already on the page, describing the fortifications Senusret I built in Nubia to mantain Egyptian control.
