Daiqing Tana (born in Qinghai , China) is the leading vocalist of the Mongolian Chinese folk music band HAYA.[2] She in her band Haya combines the traditional tunes of Mongolian folk music with the modern and contemporary compositions. As described in her albums "through her evocative voices, she invites listeners to a realm of pure solitude where inner peace resides".[3]
Career
[edit]She as a member of the band HAYA had released three albums the first being called Wolf Totem[4] and released in 2007. Apart from singing Daiqing also plays acoustic musical instruments in her performances.[5][6] Along with her native Mongolian she also sings in Mandarin and in Tibetan language. She also participated in the I am a Singer 4 national music competition in China. She also has performed at the Columbus Asian Festival in the United States, at the Cultural and Arts Festival of India, Cannes World Music Festival in France, and at Macau International Music Festival together with her band.[7]
