Virgil Lee Green (born September 22, 1963 ) is a law enforcement official in Oklahoma. He became the Chief of Police in 2000 with the Boley Police Department in the historical all Black Town of Boley, Oklahoma. In 2011 Chief Green became the Police Chief with the Spencer Police Department in Spencer, Oklahoma. In 2015 Chief Green was selected to become the Police Chief in Helena West Helena, Arkansas. In 2016 in a special called election for sheriff of Oklahoma County. Chief Green, became the first African American in the history of Oklahoma County to run for Sheriff.
