Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?

[edit]

(Briefly explain why you chose it, why it matters, and what your preliminary impression of it was.)

The Nujiang is a frontier autonomous region in my home province of Yunnan, China. I have traveled there more than 20 times while working as a local journalist. The place is beautiful and full of diversity, with pristine forests, tons of wildlife and ethnic minorities with unique cultures and beliefs.

However, Wikipedia's information about Nujiang is too simple, and I would like to add some information about the region's unique vacations, major ethnic minorities, and major endangered and rare species.

Evaluate the article

(Compose a detailed evaluation of the article here, considering each of the key aspects listed above. Consider the guiding questions, and check out the examples of what a useful Wikipedia article evaluation looks like.)

Existing articles give only the most basic information about the Nujiang River, including its name, seat of government, population, maps, etc. There is no description of its history, culture, religious beliefs of the local people, or ecological environment.

And the population data it cites is relatively old, still from the 2000 census.
