Tracking categories (test):
Toxicology
[edit]Borneol may cause eye, skin, and respiratory irritation; it is harmful if swallowed.[3]
Skin Irritation
[edit]Borneol has been shown to have little to no irritation effect when applied to the human skin at a small dose.[4] However, a long term exposure to borneol may cause mild irritation.[5]
Phototoxicity and photoallergy
[edit]Since Borneol does not absorb UV light at 290 nm to 400 nm, it would not have to potential to evoke any phototoxicity or photoallergy.[4]
