Geoff Davis is a managing partner and co-founder of Cicero Capital. Cicero Capital is a private equity firm that scales small and medium enterprises that provide services to low- and middle-income families in emerging markets. Geoff leads Cicero Capital in pre-investment analysis, deal structuring, fund and impact strategy, and fundraising efforts.

Education

Geoff earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, a master’s degree from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and has been trained as an emergency medical technician. He speaks French and Spanish.

Business Career

In addition to his role as partner and managing director of Cicero Capital, he is currently an advisor at MIT SOLVE (a business incubator and investment fund aiming to solve global challenges); chairman of the board of Align17 (a UBS-sponsored impact investing platform for institutional and high net worth investors); a venture partner at Arctaris Capital (an impact fund targeting job creation in distressed urban and rural US markets); and a member of Fast Company’s Impact Council (a group of leaders and influencers in social impact).

Previously, Geoff led the Perpetual Education Fund and helped build Self-Reliance Services for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his team gave 20,000 higher education loans each year and started 50,000 small businesses per year in 100 countries. He was previously the CEO of Unitus, a global pioneer in microfinance. Earlier in his career he worked with Nobel Laureate Mohammad Yunus and helped launch the Grameen Foundation.
