Charlie Watts was born on April 20th, 1957 to Ryland and Evelyn Watts in Virginia. From birth, he was facinated by technology.

At, age 11, Charlie started DJ'ing for private parties, using a sound system he designed.

Once Charlie turned 16, he got a job as an on air DJ for commercial radio WCHV in Charlottesville, VA.

During Charlie's tenure at college in Boston he worked for Manley audio as a tech and FOH mixer.

After college, he went to work for a touring sound company, Midwest Sound Exchange, based in Cleveland, Ohio. His position was crew chief and FOH mixer. He worked for various acts, Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult, and The Village Peoples 1st world tour.
